1) Remark: The for pressure vessels approved steel X6CrNiTi18-10, mat. no. 1.4541, is the stabilised by Ti variant of the X5CrNi18-10 (1.4301). The steel is resistant to intercrystalline corrosion both in the delivery and the welded condition. Acc. DIN 17440 : 1996-09 it is used for flat products and rods and drawn wire and acc. DIN 17441 : 1997-02 for cold rolled strips and slit strips for pressure vessels. The limiting application temperature (operating time 100000 h, no intercrystalline corrosion) amounts to 400 degrees C. For the application acc. DIN 17440 : 1985-07 (X 6 CrNiTi 18 10) resp. acc. DIN EN 10088-1,-2,-3 : 1995-08 (X6CrNiTi18-10) applies: application in large amount for the chemical apparatus construction and in the food industry, cellulose industry, textile industry, rubber industry, leather industry, photo industry and household parts. Because of the Ti-content the steel is not high polishable. In the civil engineering the X6CrNiMoTi17-12-2 is approved for structural parts.
