1) Remark: Trademark X6CrNiNb18-10 is comparable to X 6 CrNiNb 18 10 acc. to DIN17440-85. Its corrosion properties are comparable to 1.4541. The steel is resistant to intercrystalline corrosion also in sensitized condition, but it shows under certain welding conditions a heat crack tendency. Applicable to a great extent for welded components in chemical apparatus engineering, in food and luxury food industry, in film and photo industry as well as for household appliances. Accredited for pressure vessel construction up to 300 °C., with certificate up to 550 °C. Unsuitable for mirror finishing due to the Nb-content.
