1) Remark: The material X6CrNiNb18-10 is comparable to X 6 CrNiNb 18 10 acc. to DIN17440-85. Corrosion properties are comparable to 1.4541. The steel is resistant to intercrystalline corrosion even in sensitized condition. It shows a tendency to hot shortness for certain welding conditions. Applicable in high amount in chemical apparatus engineering, in food and luxury food industry, in film and foto industry as well as for household objects. Permitted for pressure vessel construction up to 300 °C, up to 550 °C subject to certificate. Unusable for mirror-polishing due to the Nb-content.
