1) Remark: The austenitic steel grade X5CrNiMo17-12-2 acc. to DIN EN 10272 : 2001-01is used for hot and cold formed rods for pressure vessels. The material is a CrNiMo-steel with increased resistance to non-oxidizing acids and halogenated media, to intercrystalline corrosion (ic), but only in delivery condition for cross sections up to 40 mm resistant. Resistance to ic is available in sensitized condition for cross sections up to 40 mm if the sensitization treatment of 10 min. has been carried out at 650°C +/- 10°C with subsequent cooling. The steel is suitabable for mirror finishing and favorable cold formable.
