1) Remark: The steel X5CrNi18-10 is the standard type of austenitic CrNi steels with high resistance to corrosion, good polishability and good processing properties. Because of its lower Ni content compared to X 5CrNi 18 12, it has a lower austenitic stability. This increases the cold strain hardening inclination and the forming properties worsen compared to 1.4303. The steel is well suited for cold-forming. It is used for stainless steel screws, nuts and cold-extruded parts.
