1) Remark: The material X3CrTi17 is a ferritic steel with comparable general corrosion properties like 1.4016. It is widely resistant in water, steam, weak acids and bases as well as in oxidizing acids. The steel shows increased stress corrosion resistance in hot bases, low chloride containing water. No risk of intercrystalline corrosion after welding due to Ti-addition, but it is therefore unsuitable for mirror finishing. Application for silencer, boilers, welded parts in washing machines (lye tanks) and partly in chemical apparatus engineering (weak acids), in dairy, food, brewery, dyeing and soap industry. The welding method for the tube manufacturing is up to the producer.
