1) Remark: The material X3CrTi17 is comparable to X 6 CrTi 17 (C-content higher). The material is a ferritic steel of comparable general corrosion properties like 1.4016. It is largely resistant in water, steam low acids and bases as well as in oxidizing acids. Increased stress corrosion resistance in hot bases, low chloride-containing waters. No risk of intercrystalline corrosion after welding due to Ti-addition. Thereby the material is unusable for mirror-polishing. Application for welded parts in washing machines (base tank) and in chemical apparatus engineering (low acids), in creamery, food, brewery, dyeing and soap industry. Resistance to intercrystalline corrosion also in welded condition. The grade is allowed to be used as heat-resistant steel acc. to DIN EN 10095 : 1999-05.
