1) Remark: The material X30Cr13, mat. no. 1.4028, is used acc. DIN 17440 : 1996-09 for rods (for pressure vessels), forgings and drawn wire. For the application acc. DIN 17440 : 1985-07 (X 30 Cr 13) resp. acc. DIN EN 10088-1,-2,-3 : 1995-08 ((X30Cr13) applies: production of cutting tools of all kind, bearing balls, wear resistant parts for controllers and pump parts, springs, piston rods, screws. The steel is used in the hardened condition with finish-ground or polished surface (in this case resistant to water and steam). In the annealed or high tempered condition the corrosion resistance is not sufficient.
