1) Remark: Molybdenum alloyed austenitic corrosion resisting steel. The steel is used in accordance with DVGW GW 541 for welded and seamless line pipes for use in drinking water installations in accordance to DIN 1988 and in gas installations operated with gases in accordance with DVGW G 260 up to a maximum operating pressure of 5 bar. The steel is used according to EN 10312 for welded tubular products for use with all types of aqueous liquids. Resistance to intergranular corrosion: in the delivery condition and in the welded condition Laser-printed (PBF-LB/M) 1.4404, which is easy to polish, tends to exhibit some anisotropy, and application in the temperature range of 427°C to 816°C is not recommended because of chromium carbide precipitation.
