1) Remark: The martensitic steel material X14CrMoS17 (1.4104) according to DIN 17440 : 2001-03 used for drawn wire is a stainless free cutting steel which is resistant to water, steam, weak alkaline and neutral media. The resistance to corrosion corresponds to that of a 13%-Cr steel due to the sulfur addition.
