1) Remark: The construction steel S280GD is produced as: - S280GD+Z (plating Zn) and S280DGD+ZF (plating Zn-Fe-alloy). The Zn-coating (double-sided) accounts for 100, 140, 200, 225, 275, 350, (450), (600) g/m². The bending mandrel diameter accounts for S280GD+Z up to Zn-coating 450 g/m² 1a (a=product thickness). -S280GD+AS (plating aluminium-silicon). The aluminium-silicon plating (double-sided) accounts for 60, 80, 100, 120, 150 g/m. Heat resistance of the AlSi-coating is warranted up to 700°C. -S280GD+ZA (plating zinc-aluminium, approx. 95% Zn and 5% Al). The ZnAl-coating (double-sided) amounts 95, 130, 185, 200, 255 and 300 (only for surface type A) g/m². Endurance thermal loading of the ZnAl-coating from 200 to 230 °C is possible. Advantages compared to hot galvanized coatings: - higher corrosion protection - excellent deformation behaviour - low cracking susceptibility of the coating The material has a min. yield point of 280 N/mm² and is used for high requirements to strength and corrosion resistance. It has to be considered that possibly occurs by and by a reduction of the reformability. The steel of the surface types mentioned is suitable for the application of organic coatings. Application: household appliances industry, construction trade, electrical industry, furniture industry, car industry.
