1) Remark: NiCr23Fe shows favorable oxidation resistance at high temperatures due to the Al- and high Cr-content. Excellent high-temperature strength and excellent scaling resistance allow application temperatures up to 1200°C (highest application temperatures in air). Favorable resistance to carburization and nitriding. Resistance to stress corrosion in presence of chloride ions as well as to corrosion in high-purity water and alkaline media. Application for boxes, fastener, steel tubes, transpot bands, furnace sheaves in annealing furnaces, insulation inerts in ammoniac cracking plants and for catalyst-fences in nitrous acid production, components for catalytic converters, combuster of waste incineration plants, components for heat-treatment furnaces, muffles and transport sheaves for ceramic stoves, components for gas turbines, oxygen preheater in titanium dioxide production, bolts and screws for refractory anchorage as well as for flare heads. processing properties: formability: good weldability: satisfactory machinability: good (solution annealed condition)
