1) Remark: According to DIN EN 10295 : 2003-01, the highest application temperature in air is 900 °C for the material GX40CrSi7, material number 1.4740 (the former G-X 40 CrSi 17 according to DIN 17465 : 1977-09). The following is valid for the comparable DIN-material: Application mainly furnace parts that are subjected to medium mechanical stress, such as stoking grates, grate links, pipe brackets and pipe sockets, spacer plates, long-range jet nozzles. In the cement industry for guard rings and guard arches, segments etc. In addition for cast case hardening boxes and superheater mountings. Durability: - with an oxidizing combustion atmosphere: 950 °C, - with a reducing combustion atmosphere: 900 °C, - with oxidizing gases containing sulphur: 950 °C, - with reducing gases containing sulphur: 900 °C.
