1) Remark: According to DIN EN 10295 : 2003-01, the highest application temperature in air is 750 °C for the material GX30CrSi7, material number 1.4710 (the former G-X 30 CrSi 6 according to DIN 17465 : 1977-09). The following is valid for the comparable DIN-material: Application for heat-resistant castings for normal mechanical stress, such as in furnace arch construction for holders, pistons, rails, cross bars, plates and arches. In addition for parts in tempering furnaces, such as hearth nozzle, blast pipes, burner parts, shut-off valves, throttle valves, retorts etc. Durability according to Stahlschlüssel 2001: - with an oxidizing combustion atmosphere (sulphur-free): 850 °C, - with a reducing combustion atmosphere (sulphur-free): 800 °C, - with oxidizing gases containing sulphur (S<2g/Nm³): 800 °C, - with oxidizing gases containing sulphur (S>2g/Nm³): 750 °C, - with reducing gases containing sulphur (S<2g/Nm³): 800 °C, - with reducing gases containing sulphur (S>2g/Nm³): 750 °C.
