Material Description

Material Number Material Number (single) Standard Scope Standard Status Country Predecessor Application temperature [°C] VDA 231-106 classification
1.4777 (DIN EN 10295 : 2003-01) 1.4777 DIN EN 10295 : 2003-01 Supersedes DIN 17465 : 1993-08 Valid Germany GX130CrSi29 ≤ 1100 1.1 1)
1) Remark: According to DIN EN 10295 : 2003-01, the highest temperature in air is 1100 °C for the material GX130CrSi29, material number 1.4777 (the former G-X 130 CrSi 29). The following is valid for the comparable austenitic-ferritic DIN-material: Application predominantly for castings that - in addition to a high scale resistance - have to be resistant against wear at the same time, such as e.g. agitator teeth and agitator arms, for iron pyrite roasting furnaces, burner drums, slide bars, chutes, hearth plates, feed racks, ladles and other highly wear-resistant castings. Durability: - with an oxidizing combustion atmosphere: 1100 °C, - with a reducing combustion atmosphere: 1050 °C, - with oxidizing gases containing sulphur: 1100 °C, - with reducing gases containing sulphur: 1050 °C.
