1) Remark: The construction material G-CuZn37Pb (earlier designation: G-Ms60) is good cutting machinably. It possesses a generally good corrosion resistance and is applicable without surface protection in the atmosphere. It is sufficiently steady to stress corrosion, not steady to ammonia. Starting from 100 °C the material shows strongly decreasing mechanical properties, to -200 °C only weakly rising strength with small embrittlement. The bearing characteristics are sufficient when moderate load and lubrication. Manufacturing properties: - casting bar: very well - cutting property: very well - soft soldering: well - braze welding: caused - gas fusion welding: badly - manual arc welding: badly - TIG welding: badly - MIG welding: badly - resistance welding: well - polishing bar (mechanical.): very well - galvanizing bar: very well - suitability for dipping tinning: very well Application: It is applicated for shape castings of thin-walled and complicated construction. It used for not to highly loadable control parts, for electrical manipulation, carbon brush holder, staple parts as well as for many difficult shaped parts, which are not exposed to special demands.
