1) Remark: Material EN-GJMB-550-4 is an all-black malleable cast iron which is used for crankshafts, camshafts, rocking levers, shift-forks, spring brackets, swivel heads, joint flanges, wheel hubs, rear-axle casings, water barriers, pivot bearings as well as for pinion cages for automatic transmissions. Malleable iron can be used for pressure equipment, e.g. fittings (with thread, with clamp joint) for compressed-air, water (hot and cold), oil, steam, gas as well as for industry fittings (housings, covers, upper parts) and diaphragm valves. The appropriate materials for pressure applications and the conditions of use are specified in special product standards or application standards. For the design of pressure equipment special construction guidelines applies.
