1) Remark: Material EN AW-Al 99,9MgSi is produceds for wire and prewire for mechanical applications. The alloy is food-safe. To the comparable mark Al99,9MgSi, material No. 3.3208, acc. to DIN 1725-1 applies: The alloy pertains to standardized aluminium bright materials. Aluminium-alloys based on aluminium of a minimum purity of 99,85 % are able to be high polished after mechanical, chemical or electrolytic polish. In order to keep the gloss level there has to be an anodizing. The intensity of the directional reflection (gloss level) depends on purity degree and thickness of the obtained anodizing layer. Alloy Al 99,9MgSi pertains due to its composition to hardenable bright materials. It is ideal for age hardening and artificial aging. Strength up to approx. 240 N/mm² can be achieved by artificial aging. Alloy Al99,9MgSi is highly resistant to corrosion and well cold and warm formable. Application: for jeweler goods (decorative molding, decoration parts), for metal goods of all kind (e.g. fitings, harness, extrusion parts), reflectors
