1) Remark: CuZn38Al-C, mat. No. CC767S (former G-CuZn38Al, mat. No. 2.0591 acc. to DIN 1709) is a favorable castable, cryogenic construction material with favorable resistance to atmosphere, resistant to stress corrosion and irresistant to ammoniac. High-temperature strength is favorable up to 250°C, low-temperature resistance is given up to approx. -60°C. Sufficient bearing properties at moderate loading and lubrication. Processing properties: castability: good machinability: conditionally soft soldering: unfavorable hard soldering: unfavorable gas fusion welding: unfavorable arc welding: unfavorable TIG-welding: good MIG-weding: conditionally resistance welding: conditionally burnishing: very good galvanizing: conditionally suitability for dip tinning: unfavorable (material specification applies for G-CuZn38Al acc. to DIN) Application: fitting parts and all types of entangled construction parts. High dimension accuracy and contour constancy are achievable in chill casting with this alloy. Application in elecrical and machine engineering, in building-hardware industry and in ornamental engineering due to its gold resembling look and favorable colorability.
