1) Remark: CuZn25Al5Mn4Fe3-C, mat. No. CC762S (former G-CuZn25Al5, mat. No. 2.0598 acc. to DIN 1709), is a construction material with very high static loading capacity. It shows high wear resistance and very good loading absorption (static as well as dynamic), sufficient corrosion resistance particularly to additives in motor and gear oils. The material is stress corrosion sensitive (surface protection advisable) and irresistant to ammoniac. It shows satisfactory casting properties. High-temperature strength decreases hardly up to 100°C, thereafter sharply. Only slight embrittlement up to -200°C. Processing properties: castability: good machinability: good soft soldering: unfavorable hard soldering: unfavorable gas fusion welding: unfavorable arc welding: unfavorable TIG-welding: conditionally MIG-weding: unfavorable resistance welding: conditionally burnishing (mech.): very good galvanizing: conditionally suitability for dip tinning: unfavorable (material specification applies for G-CuZn25Al5 acc. to DIN) Application: CuZn25Al5Mn4Fe3-C is applicated for maximum loaded bearings and slides, high loaded low-speed worm gear rims, interior components of high-pressure fittings as well as in crane construction, for bearing of excavator and caterpillar buckets.
