1) Remark: CuSn3Zn8Pb5-C, mat. No. CC490K (former G-CuSn2ZnPb, mat. No. 2.1098 acc. to DIN 1705), is a medium-hard construction material, good castable, corrosion resistant to service water also at increased temperatures. The alloy is especially used for thin-walled fittings (up to 12 mm wall-thickness) and it is suitable up to 225°C. Processing properties: machinability: very good soft soldering: good hard soldering: conditionally gas fusion welding: bad gas shielded welding: bad burnishing (mech.): good galvanizing: good suitability for dip tinning: good (material specification applies for G-CuSn2ZnPb acc. to DIN)
