1) Remark: CuSn12-C, mat. No. CC483 (former G-CuSn12, mat. No. 2.1052 acc. to DIN 1705), is a material with favorable sliding properties, favorable wear resistance, favorable corrosion and seawater resistance. It is used for high-stressed coupling, joint and sliding blocks, under load moved spindle nuts, worm and helical gears as well as for high-stressed adjustment gibs. Especially GZ- resp. GC-castings are applicated for circular and tubular construction components as well as for longitudinal profiles, e.g. worm gear rims, cylinder inserts etc. Processing properties: machinability: good soft soldering: good hard soldering: good gas fusion welding: satisfactory gas shielded welding: satisfactory burnishing: good galvanizing: good suitability for dip tinning: good (material specification applies for G-CuSn12 acc. to DIN)
