1) Remark: The steel 42CrMoS4 is suitable for high-stressed components in the automobile, engine and machine construction with high wear resistance and favourable core properties and improved machiability (e.g. crankshafts, pinions, balancer shafts). The steel has a high specific resistance to static and dynamic load. Lowest application temperature -40 deg. As bright finished steel product, the steel is used in the shape of bars, bright, straight and in varying conditions (see DIN EN 10277 : 1999-10).
