Spain’s ambassador to China tours Applus+ centre in Shanghai

    Ambassador shown cutting-edge facilities in Materials Testing and IT laboratories
    Applus+ in Shanghai was honoured to receive a visit from Spain’s ambassador to China, His Excellency Mr. Alberto Carnero on Thursday May 24. The ambassador was impressed by the Applus+ facilities, as well as by the range of testing and certification projects which he was shown. He was accompanied by Spain’s consul general in Shanghai, Rodrigo Aguirre de Cárcer, and the economic and trade advisor, Alfonso Noriega.
    State-of-the-art facilities
    The ambassador’s visit took place in the centre operated by Applus+ IDIADA and Applus+ Laboratories, including our materials testing laboratory, which focuses on aerospace services and was the first non-metallic NADCAP lab to be established in China. The materials testing laboratory is accredited to conduct metallic and non-metallic NADCAP testing, and is an approved laboratory for Airbus, Safran and other aerospace manufacturers.
    Ambassador Carnero also visited our IT laboratory, which was recently named the best Visa terminals testing laboratory worldwide for a second consecutive year. The IT laboratory is accredited for functional evaluations on payment terminals by Visa, American Express, Discover and EMVCo.
