Applus+ tests a 22 KW OBC-DC/DC Converter, with remote participation of the client’s engineers


    Our EMC lab successfully conducted a testing campaign on a development prototype, using HoloLens to prepare a complex test setup

    A Tier 1 supplier from Germany trusted Applus+ Laboratories to conduct the pre-design verification tests (pre-DV) of an On-Board Charger (OBC). The component was tested in our EMC laboratory in Barcelona, which is fully equipped to test new EV high-voltage components.The client didn't need to send any auxiliary equipment, only the test sample.

    Their engineers were able to remotely participate in the test setup, troubleshooting any issues from their office in Germany using remote assistance technology.

    Our labs are fully prepared to test electromagnetic compatibility on high-voltage components, using state-of-the-art auxiliary equipment:

    Remote assistance and immersive interaction 
    EMC resilience must be tested during early-development and pre-validation stages—when prototype design changes will not result in major delays for the product’s arrival on the market. Prototype testing in early development stages usually requires the client’s engineers to be present, in order to assist in setup preparation and address issues right away.
