Natural stone has been used as a construction product since time immemorial, due to its many functions and applications, its durability and its beauty. When permanently added to structures, it directly influences their quality and safety.

CE marking of natural stone is governed by the Construction Products Regulaton 305/2011 according to a 2+, 3 or 4 assessment system, in which the manufacturer must state the features and the performance of the product. Manufacturers or their representatives in the European Union are solely responsible for compliance of their products with the terms of the regulaton, both for trade and use. When a manufacturer identifies its natural stone with the CE mark, this shows that the stone complies with the harmonized standards and therefore fulfills the essential requirements of the regulation.

Solution
