Barcelona Materials Laboratory renews its Nadcap accreditation and widens its scope.

    With this new scope, the laboratory will be able to test the mechanical properties of composite fasteners
    Applus+ materials laboratory in Barcelona (Spain) has recently renewed its Nadcap accreditations for Metallic Materials (MTL) and Non Metallic Materials (NMMT) Testing.
    The laboratory broadened the scope of its Nadcap accreditation for Non Metallic Materials with two new test methods: double lap shear and bearing. With this new scope, the laboratory will be able to test the mechanical properties of composite fasteners. The renewal of the accreditation guarantees the laboratory technical and quality procedures. Barcelona laboratory is current accredited to perform mechanical test on metallic and composite materials.
    Applus+ has a network of Nadcap accredited laboratories in Europe, USA and Asia focused on Composites materials testing, Metallic materials testing and Non-Destructive Testing.
    Applus+ Laboratories is currently working for the major aeronautic OEMs and their tier 1 suppliers in several fields that include materials testing, structures testing, non-destructive inspections, test systems and test tooling development. 
    Nadcap is a cooperation program lead by the major aerospace and defense companies. Its main goal is to standardize technical and quality requirements and reduce redundant costs from auditing suppliers.
