Applus+ conducts its first GlobalPlatform Functional Evaluation of a TEE, ‘TCore’

    TCore is a TEE for handsets developed by Nutlet, a subsidiary company of Chinese Smartcard manufacturer Tianyu
    Applus+ Laboratories has evaluated its first Trusted Execution Environment (TEE), a new solution to secure mobile applications on handsets using software and hardware resources. Nutlet, a subsidiary of the Chinese Smartcard manufacturer Tianyu, trusted Applus+ Laboratories to carry out the GlobalPlatform functional evaluation for TCore, its new Trusted Execution Environment.
    Applus+ IT Laboratory in Shanghai conducted debugging sessions with Nutlet while the Barcelona laboratory was responsible for the final evaluation. TCore has been qualified by GlobalPlatform after successfully passing the functional evaluation (GP TEE Initial Configuration v1.0) carried out by Applus+ Laboratories.

    Applus+ IT laboratory in Barcelona is the only lab accredited by GlobalPlatform to perform both GP TEE functional and security evaluations. Last December, Applus+ IT lab in Shanghai also obtained the GlobalPlatform TEE Initial Configuration accreditation. So from now on, the Applus+ IT Shanghai laboratory will be able to conduct this type of functional evaluation in China
