CARE-ROLCOMPLEX Project

30/08/2012
Research and development of the rolltrusion process for the manufacturing of CFRP aeronautical structural parts. Funded by CDTI-FEDER.
The main objective of this Project is the research in the field of the manufacturing processes to obtain carbon fiber structural reinforcements with complex geometry, with rolltrusion technologies
The CARE-ROLCOMPLEX Project investigates in the field of the manufacturing processes to obtain carbon fiber structural reinforcements with complex geometry, through rolltrusion technologies.
The Applus+ experts are developing new hot-forming processes for CFRP laminates, with the objective to obtain stringer elements with complex geometries, used in aeronautical structures.
The research work, developed in Bellaterra (Barcelona) laboratories, is based in the study and characterization of the rolltrusion process applied to the manufacturing of CFRP stringers with complex geometries, to establish its technological limits and his use in future industrial processes.
The project has been funded by CDTI and co-founded by FEDER: the operational program “Fondo Tecnológico 2007-2013 por y para el beneficio de las empresas”.
